さらにお聞きしたいのは

1.今のままで最新のものをc:\gs以下に置き、pathを設定するだけでいいのか

2.今までのものを全て削除(ディレクトリをゴミ箱に移すなど)して、新たに
  GSをイントールした方がいいのか

3.C:\usr\local\GhostScript\gs8.54\libを探すように設定することは可能なのか

どれがいいのでしょうか。
tDB様のように複数のTeXが入っていても、動かせるだけの能力があればいいのですが
私にはそこまでの管理能力があるとは思えないので、出来るだけ簡単な方法で
乗り切りたいと思っています。
また以前にTeXを再インストールした際にレジストリー関係で結構問題を厄介に
した記憶があるのですが、GSの再インストールの場合もそういう事態が予測される
のでしょうか。
1で乗り切れるのならば、それで行きたいというのが本音です。

これらが全て成功した際には、今回のトラブルは解決するということでいいのでしょうか。
まだ私には全容が見えていないのです。
後学のために、ご教授願います。
